This video shows how an external cerebellum was built to compensate for any disease or loss of a limb. The person wears a cap which measures her brain waves which are rthen fed into the computer. Researches translate these brain waves into a specific command and opens/closes a prosthetic hand, so it is just like moving your hand. However, there is further development into prosthetic limbs for the future which can provide more actual movements.
This appeals to me as I feel that this is a great opportunity for those who are paralyzed/lost a limb to return back to their "normal" lives. These people will be able to use this cyborg technology to their advantage. However, I feel that any ordinary person should not have this over-dependence on cyborg technology just because it can help improve their lives.
