Callie's Surfclub

I was thinking about what to do my surfclub on and I began thinking about all the pranks on the internet out to fool us. Dead celebrities, fake news reports, ect... It goes back to being a credible source and the rarity of those such sources on the internet. So I was wondering what has been your favorite internet prank?

The one that comes to mind for me is when multiple celebrity gossip websites posted that Matt Damon had died. Most of the stories have been pulled but I found website still carrying the prank!

... IT just goes to show that celebrity gossip websites should not be trusted. Gossip is always gossip.

  5. Last year was a really big year for celebrity death pranks. Zach Braff also supposedly died last year, but he created one of the funniest response videos I think I've seen so far. I'm just glad there are celebrities who don't take themselves too seriously.

  6. It's not just death pranks, there are always so many random pieces of gossip that are posted as soon as they're heard without any background or source checks to see if the story is true or not. Perez Hilton is a prime example of celebrity gossip gone crazy. check it out

  7. I love Scrubs, and Zach Braff is one of my favorite actors. I hadn't seen that video before, but I'm oh so happy that I've seen it now. That was hilarious. I'm very happy that he is not one of those celebrities who acts as if they're the biggest thing on earth -- I've heard that Will Ferrell is a jerk in real life.

Also, in honor of the main constituency of subjects on Hilton's site (actresses and actors) and their largest self-glorifying event of the year (The Academy Awards), I present the winners of the not-so-illustrious awards, the Razzies!

Also, I totally thought Gabourey Sidibe should have won Best Actress. But alas.

  8. The Razzies! I think it is absolutely hilarious that Sandra Bullock just one Best Female Actor at the Academy Awards for "The Blind Side" and she one Worst Female Actor for "All About Steve".

  10. Sandra Bullock is the first actress to ever win both a Razzie and an Acadamey Award in the same year, I heard. I love the whole contradiction in the scenario, although it would have been so much better if she had won both for the same movie.

  13. I always though that the MTV series, Punk'd was pretty funny. It goes along the lines with what has already been seen here, but just continues the pranks as the whole point of the show.

  15. I sometimes feel like the "clebrity world" itself is gossip. Sure its comprised of very wealthy movie stars, singers, etc, but if there was no drama would there really be any interest. Even the award shows and premiers aren't designed for the actors themselves. It's to promote the industry. Just food for thought.
